Should I bother?

If you have a good relationship generally with your parents, try to give them a little credit. If they love you, they will support you and would like to think that they could help you during your time of crisis. Good luck.

You can see a guidance counselor at your school, and they won't tell your parents anything that is talked about between the two of you. If you don't have a guidance counselor at your school, you could look in your phone book about teen help lines, kids help phone.. they're really helpful and it sometimes easier because they don't know who you are.
Good luck

Do your parents know that you are gay? If they don't you may want to start with that and then bring up therapy, they might be more open to therapy if they know. If that won't work for you then I suggest talking to your school counselor or even disclose this information to your doctor and ask him/her if there is any therapy available ( even group therapy) for you
Meanwhile remember that we all go through rough patches and things always turn out in the end.
Be proud of who you are and trust those who love you and care about you. You will outgrow your weight problem as you get older.........till then you can consider taking up running and totally cleaning your diet ( for health reasons too). What I tell most of my clients is to enjoy a diet of clean natural food and to stay away from sugar, processed and refined food!
Good luck hun...............it will be ok!!!

Talk to your school councellor or school nurse. They set me up with a therapist without my parents even being notified.
