I might be a little bit taller than the guy I like--is this a problem?

A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I met this guy yesterday and I really like him. I think we may be the same height or I'm just a tiny bit taller.

But people always say that it looks stupid when the girl is taller than the boy. I'm really worried that I'll grow even more, and become noticeably taller than him.

Normally, I don't care what other people think, but I'm just paranoid about this one thing. What do you think?

YummyMummy agony auntDo not listen to what other people say. If you really like this guy and he likes you then a little height difference shouldn't matter. If it bothers him then you may have a problem but if it doesn't don't let what others say get to you!

"People always say that it looks stupid when the girl is taller than the boy." The only "stupid" thing here is if you let other peoples' opinions get in the way of a good relationship. Even if you become a several inches taller than him it wouldn't change who each of you really are. Don't let the ideas of others get between you and him.

bubbloo24 agony auntHun, if it's only a tiny bit of height difference, I assure you that probably no one has even noticed!! I know a few couples who are like that and no one says anything because they know that they are happy together!

At the start of the relationship, there's bound to be a bit of a talk about between our friends ( as every relationship starts that way) but when they realise that nothing's going to stop you two from being happy whilst going out with eachother then they'll probably forget all that they said.

But I'm pretty sure that if you're only a little bit taller than he is. Don't listen to what anyone else says tho lovely coz it's your happiness that matters, not the thoughts of others.

Good luck xx

I think the only problem may be giving up high shoes! Height must be the least important aspect in a relationship, really...

Dazzerg agony auntHow old is he? He might not have stopped growing either. It doesnt seem that the height difference is that great from what you say here so I really wouldnt worry about it. Even if it was I really dont think these kind of things should play any kind of decisive role in a relationship. You say you like him...so you must like him for who he is...slight shortness and all???
