I'm not a Christian. I do not think Masturbation is a sin. BUT if you have guilt then it's not good for you and you should figure out how to either stop it or get rid of the guilt.have you discussed with your husband?

I am not a Christian anymore, since many years ago,and I don't want to sound like a staunch paladin of Christian conservatism, but in all honesty I have to stress this :
Christian religion is not a do-it-yourself religion. It does not allow a lot of space for moral relativism , au contraire! It has rules and regulations , that you are supposed to obey even when it's hard and difficult, and obedience is one of the fundamental tenets of this religion . If you decide to join a club, you are bound to respect ALL the rules of the club, not only the ones you agree with.
So , no, sorry, but if you are a Christian you can't just go by the voice of your conscience, you have to go by the Church's teachings. Which clearly state that masturbation is a sin " contra sextum ". ( Against the 6th commandment ).
That it may be considered a small, venial sin- that any priest or minister would be tolerant and understanding with people struggling with their natural impulses, that God is supposed to be a God of love, and love you anyway whether you masturbate or not- and that He must be too busy with more serious stuff to worry about your sexuality,- that's all very true .
Nevertheless , according to your religion you are supposed to not indulge these impulses and to not commit acts of impurity ,including masturbation.
Have you talked to your priest /minister/pastor ?
he is the more qualified person to give you help.

No one is being hurt nor is anyone here at risk of being hurt. It is actually healthy and though it may seem a sin because it is an urge based on lust, you are not doing anything wrong.Feeding lust with the touch of another person is a sin, it is cheating. I suppose, judging by how troubled you are by this, it depends on what goes on in your head while you do it. Is it a fantasy of your husband or is the focus what you feel?If you truly feel it is a problem, you can stop easily, distract yourself should you ever feel tempted to do it. Redirect that energy into something else. Exercise, writing, whatever you feel will channel that energy. To be honest though, this is not something God would condemn you for.I hope that helps.
