writes: hello i really need some advice me and my partner have been together 5 years had a bad time when my son was born but then we got things sorted we was happy for a while now i dont no how he feels for me i have got to do everything around the house im the one who has got to work to get money and i have to get up in the mornings with the baby he doesnt do anything and moans if things dont go his way or if he hasnt got any money which i earn any way sometimes he is the best person in the world but others he is horrible to me and makes me feel really horrible i just dont no wot to do any more i want to tell him to go but then i love him to much to do that i am stuck i have spoke to him about it and he just agrees with it all says he will change which he does for about a week then he is back to the same old thing again please help if you can because i really dont no what to do xx

hi i recently split with my ex because she said that i would never change, but now i have, but she wont give me another chance. what i am trying to say is sometimes it takes something as bad as realising what you have lost before you can make that permanant change i would never go back to how i was! tho i was never violent i just didnt respect her which is now my loss. People can change perm if they get a big enough shock!Hope all works out for you.

reader, anonymous, writes (3 July 2006): I am no expert these are just ideas. If he agrees and does try for a week to change It sounds like he may be unaware of his actions. I know you have talked but did you actually say he is making you very unhappy. Have you considered keeping a diary which you can show him when you have enought "evidence", or that you can look at yourself (kinda like taking a step back and looking at the whole picture). Perhaps try telling him you are exhausted and that you simply can't continue to do everything wheather he likes it or not. I know it's easy for me to say but very hard to do and takes alot of courage. Everone has their good and bad moods. His will look ten times worse and unjustified whlst he sits at home doing nothing all day. He needs to get a job! Just my two cents!
