 Just because your best friend likes him doesn't mean you can't. It is a tricky situation and there isn't going to be an easy way about it, but if you like him and he likes you then you need to talk to your friend and tell her the situation. Explain it kindly and ask that if she would prefer for you not to date him and see how that goes. If it is okay then take the opportunity to date this guy. If not then be safe in the knowledge that you kept your best friend. And if she gets angry then know that you tried to sort it out. Hope everything goes well for you.
