I like my friend but how do I get him alone?

A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I'm falling for my friend. I don't know what to do because I'm not sure if he feels the same way about me. I can't tell him as it will ruin our friendship. I really like him and I'm going to try and flirt with him so maybe he might like me back. But how do I do this because I can never spend time alone with him as he is with my other friends.

A male reader, CaringGuy United Kingdom +, writes (28 January 2010):

Tough one. You could take the plunge and ask him to meet then tell him. Then you'd know for sure how he feels. Other than that, when you're around him, just smile, keep eye contact and lightly touch him now and again and watch his responses.
