While I'm laughing he gets even more mad, and I really have to try hard to stop laughing by smirking but in the end he just ends up storming off. I don't understand why I do it! I want to be serious and talk to him but at the same time I have the massive urge to laugh! We tend to fight once in a while but it's mainly whenever he's mad at me I start to laugh at him. Am I selfish? Sometimes I think maybe because his reason for being mad at me is stupid therefore I laugh but that doesn't seem right either :/ Reply to this Question Share |

Like the others I too, think it's a nervous reaction.

I think you might find that it's nerves. I have a friend who always used to laugh when people got mad at her - from teachers to her own parents - and we all came to the conclusion that it was because she was so nervous about what was going to happen.
If he's getting that mad at you though, perhaps you both need a find a better way to communicate rather than him just getting mad. Also, why does he get mad?

I do exactly the same thing when anyone is mad at me, I think it's just due to nervousness or awkwardness. It's not like I'm mocking the person or situation, I'm just prone to laughing or smirking! Best thing is to tell your boyfriend when you're not arguing or in one of the situations where you might burst out laughing that you have that problem, you're not trying to annoy him or make things worse, it's just a bad habit you have! x
