A male United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Have you ever been in love with someone you know would never love you back. I've been in love with this girl for sometime now. About 2 or 3 years to be exact. I've know her my whole life and we hang out all the time and I can be 100% myself around her and you know all that stuff. I just know that she'll like freak out if I tell her that I'm in love with her. I usually feel fine when I'm around her you know I make jokes and just always have a good time but lately when I'm around her I feel sick to my stomach and I just hurt on the inside because I know that no matter how much i love her she'll probably never love me the same way. It's not a good kinda sick It's the kinda feeling you might get when someone you love dies or someone breaks up with you or something. It just hurts so bad inside. I don't know what I'm gonna do, I want nothing more than to just be with her and be the guy who tell her he loves her. What can i do?

I've been there and done that. I even asked the girl out. She turned me down. Sure, it hurt, but I knew the truth and was able to move on. You need to talk to her and find out where you stand. You might find she likes you, you might find she doesn't feel the same way. But it's better to try now, or you'll just kick yourself if you don't.

Moo's Mum agony auntYep a lot of us have been there. It's bloody hard! You either have to bite the bullet and tell her you would like to be more than friends with her or you'll have to let it go. I know that both those things are easier said than done but for the good of your health and well being you HAVE to do it. At least if you tell her you will know one way or the other and you can move on with your life. By the way what makes you think she will freak out if you tell her? You might have that completely wrong there?

Good luck my friend suck it up it'll be ok.

I don't think you should hang on with that girl you love because she doesn't have the heart for you. If you have her for once, there's a very big chance that you'll break up with her. Have you ever heard of "love at first sight"? Seems that thing isn't happening to you. Think about it there's a lot of nice fish in the pond! Why do you make yourself so miserable?
