writes: i'm only 13 but i have a really close friend who is 17 and will be leaving school soon. she's the best thing that ever happened to me and has completely changed my life. she's the person i can always trust, and she always helps me when i'm have worries or problems. she stands up for me and say's im like a little sister to her. but i seem to be seeing less and less of her; we never see or talk to eachother out of school and when we are at school i hardly see her due to the age gap. i am really really sooo scared of losing someone else; so many people have just left me in life (people who were close to me like her). and im distraught at the thought of never seeing the best thing that has ever happened to me again. i dont think she really undrstands what i'm feeling right now, but i'm embarrased to talk to her about it..is this supid of me?am i just over reacting or is this normal???what should i do??Please help!!! i cant bear this pain anymore!! You're so lucky in today's world. You have all sorts of ways of keeping in touch, e-mail, texts, videophones. Talk to your friend and explain everything about how you feel.

It sounds like you may need counselling, to help you with this as its affecting you more than it should be. Why don't you talk to your doctor and they should be able to refer you to a counsellor. X

reader, anonymous, writes (24 February 2009): This is verified as being by the original poster of the questioni really wish i could talk EVERYTHING through with her but i hardly see her anymore..i cry in lessons sometimes because i cant stand it anymore!!
i just want to scream it out sometimes, just to tell her how much i do care about her!
whenever i see her she's either busy or with some other people and i can never get her alone long enough to just talk to her properly...

I went through something similar, you will adjust to it sooner or later and evrything will be fine. You can still stay in touch, tell her how you feel, she'll understand! Talk it through with her and you'll feel a lot better! X
