I always have dreams that my boyfriend is cheating on me. I do not see any signs that he is and I don't think he is but what do you think this means... about once or twice a month... I have dreams that he is with someone else.

A reader, anonymous, writes (25 February 2009):

For me, 99% of my dreams are metaphoric of my day to day happenings. For example, your dream about your boyfriend cheating possibly has to do with your insecurities. However, it can also represent something entirely different.

For example, I have had dreams about my high school and my class mates for almost ten years now. I hate it because I know that those dreams are about me never finishing high school and the negative experiences I've had during that period in my life.

Another example was a dream I used to have over and over and over again about a girl I really liked, that I could never get in touch with. Calling her number always dialed the wrong numbers, or getting to her house but an obstacle would be there, or being too late to meet up with her. Those dreams represented the major regret I had that I pushed her away and after that, could not get her back.

Dreams more often than not, represent a part of your consciousness. Your feelings, your worries, your experiences, your relationships, etc, etc, etc.

XxAnGelXxx agony auntOoh a dreams question, i'v always been quite interested in dreams, so getting to the point, dreams are funny things, some people have dreams about things that are happening/going to happen, others and a majority of the time dreams have hidden meanings, like dreaming of drowning doesn't actually mean your going to drown, iv always always since I was about 8 years old looked my dreams up in a dream dictionary, you pick out the main point, element or key word of the dream, look it up and It'll tel you the true meaning beyond the face of the dream itself. Going back to where I said that some people have dreams about things that are happening, i'd say thats the subconscious mind just playing out inner thoughts, have you had any suspicious thoughts that he's cheating? Or do you (maybe from past relationships) have a paranoia about being cheated on? It may be worth thinking about this before looking into the whole dream dictionary thing. Also.. (tbc..,)

dreams are just something that goes on while you sleep they don't mean much like they do in movies i suggest changing what ever you eat before you go to sleep i know it sounds weird but that could affect your dreams greatly.

PeterPan agony auntDreams are very hard to interpret. Sometimes what your conscious mind thinks is completely different than what the message its trying to convey. There are a few sites out on Google that might give you some insight. Try http://www.dreammoods.com ...it might give you some insight into your dream specifics...
