A male reader, daglish Uganda +, writes (26 August 2007):

daglish agony auntIt wud be wrong for any of us who aint a gaenacologist to suggest any treatment. But the atmost i can say thats an STD probably candida or siphillis. The remedy is to go for a thorough medical examinationn of your vagina by a gaenachologist.

use a condom and douche after sex, also make sure you clean all the folds and pull back on the hood of your clit, and very, very , gently clean her too, no soap! and of course see your doctor to get checked for any bacteria, oh yeah and eat lots of yogurt, it helps to balance the 'good' bacteria which love the warm moist environment

A female reader, Sugarbuns Australia +, writes (23 August 2007):

Sugarbuns agony auntGo see your physician to determine if you have an infection which can only be treated with an antibiotic prescription. Nothing over-the-counter will cure it if that's what's going on and that's what it sounds like to me. After you receive treatment, practice better hygiene; meaning, after sex, go pee. It flushes you out and keeps things from being harbored inside of you for hours on end. Don't forget to douche after your period. This can eliminate smells that get stronger prior to your period and afterwards. Bathe regularly and don't be afraid to use soap down there. You'd be surprised what sort of things can hide in the folds of your skin in that area and give off weird smells. Use your fingers when soaping, they work better than a washrag to get into those little crevices. Also, if your physician determines that you have a sexually transmitted infection, your b/f will have to get treated too, otherwise he'll just give it to you again and you'll keep passing it back and forth with no relief. After you've both been treated, you need to make sure neither of you is having sex with other people or you'll just end up getting infected again. Good luck.

A female reader, anonymous, writes (23 August 2007):

Did you go see a doctor? He may likely have given you a sexually transmitted disease. No over the counter medicine is going to get rid of it, you need to go get a pap smear test & have the doctor prescribe the correct medication to kill off whatever disease he gave you. And him saying "your pussy is smelly" that is really rude & disrespectful & he needs to not be allowed to speak to you in that way. Especially because he is likely the cause of your "smelly pussy" Tell him to go get lost.

A female reader, anonymous, writes (23 August 2007):

It is probably a bacterial infection. The medicine has to come from a doctor to cure it. A simple medication will take care of it though. So, get to your doctor and don't worry!

A female reader, birdynumnums Canada +, writes (23 August 2007):

birdynumnums agony auntUse water, plain water and rinse yourself out after sex (unless you are trying to have a baby, of course). Always pee after sex to clear your urethra. If there is no seminal fluid left inside you, and you are still experiencing odor and itching, you need to check with your Doctor about what is causing this. Some over-the-counter medications (Monistat) can clear up yeast infections - but if it's not a yeast infection, you really need a Doctor to diagnose the cause and prescribe the cure. If it is an infection, it can cause other health problems, so please go and get checked out. Take care of yourself!
