 Its your choice who you date and who you keep as a friend.
People can often mistake genuine friendship for something else and it looks like this friend of yours is doing exactly that just now.
You can either do nothing and hope that she gets over this or you can take her to one side and make it clear that you dont like her that way.
Its not a case of upsetting her, you could just say that you value the friendship way too much to risk losing it by getting together.
As for appreciating her looks, I wouldnt worry about that at all, its perfectly natural - in fact its one of the things that makes life fun!
Stick to what you want and feel in life, dont ever do things just to please or accomodate others. Its called being true to yourself.
