 He probably wants to be sure that you're the right girl for him before introducing you to his friends and family. It doesn't necessarily mean that you're a 'secret'. But I don't know him so I can't be sure.
How does he treat you when the two of you are together? Does he do anything that indicates he's being unfaithful?
