We went out the other day (as friends/colleagues) and spoke for hours about lots of stuff, I hoped to find her irritating but she's wonderful - attractive, funny, and has more in common with me than I realised.I'm 23 (but old-fashioned, sensitive and not into short term relationships) but she's 28, looking for someone her age, and has made no indication that I'm remotely her type. So I've been completely depressed this weekend, knowing that I have no chance.Anybody have any advice on what I can do? I'm down because I know she'd never want me, but I have to work with her every day, which I'm finding painful...

I totally think you should go for it!!!!! Sittin around all depressed aint gonna get you anywhere!!!!! You should continue to get to know her!!!! Heck, this comming valentines day, ask her to be your valentine!!!!! You arnt gonna get anywhere if she dosent know that you like her!!!! I have a problem with that now, but its a a work in process!!!! I can tell that you dig her!!! One day at work, how bout you tell her that she smells wonderful, or complement somethingelse!!! Girls love it when men compliment us!!! Smile at her a lot too!!!!!! Not too much, or she might think ur a bit weird. Do what your gut tells you too (except mope around, cuz it just sucks rocks when your miserable!!!!!!)
Hope i helped!!!!!!

I thought I didn't have a chance with an older woman as well. Then I spoke to her, got to know her and now I'm seeing her. The point being, sitting there being depressed won't get you anywhere. She may not have indicated that you are her type, but she hasn't said that you're not either. Try asking her out for a drink after work. See what happens. You have to take a chance sometimes, so take it. Listen to her, get to know her and let her get to know you so she knows you aren't immature and after one thing. She might really like you for all you know.
