TomWilkinson agony auntWe've all gone through this, and I agree that drinking is not the answer.

HOWEVER, if you're going out with your mates, having a few drinks and a good time and forgetting your pain for a little while, go for it. That's what I do when I'm feeling down, but you need to let it be the fact you're enjoying yourself that makes you "numb" to your pain and not simply the effects of alcohol.

I too haven't had a proper relationship since last christmas and it gets me down too, but turning to substances will not help, friends and having a good time though, will.

good luck and please feel free to email me

Drinking is not the answer, so please dont go down that path, it will lead to destruction, mainly of your liver! So be aware of your health even if you are going through this low right now. I sympathise with you for all you have been through but not all blokes are like this. You are young and you will meet someone who you so rightly deserve but they wont want to go out with a drunk!! Give the drink a bit miss, go out with your friends or maybe take up a hobby or sport and get out there and meet people and be happy.

take care

xx
