If you are having sex, you should take a pregnancy test - they're quick and easy.
If you are not having sex then, no, you cannot be pregnant but it is probably a good idea to see your GP and get things checked out.

reader, anonymous, writes (23 February 2010): Hi, as soon as you miss a period, whether you are sexually active or not, you should check with the doctor, just to rule out any chance of infections etc .. as they can be easily treated if caught early. Also, yes periods can be a bit erratic as the other poster said, especially at your age as your body is still regulating and maturing etc etc ... If you are sexually active then always take a pregnancy test asap - they're easy to get and quick to do. If you are pregnant and you don't want a baby the sooner you catch it the better because it is easier to remedy with tablets very early on rather than having to go through other options. And if you are pregnant and do want a baby then it's good to know asap so you can look after yourself extra well. Just do a test (your GP can arrange one for you if you prefer and the result should come back pretty much overnight). Good luck x
