I've never felt this way until this summer. I've realized that I like him more than a friend...but I'm just too afraid that if I tell him, our friendship will be ruined. And I don't know if he feels the same way about me. I don't want to push anything too far where we don't talk anymore. I want to take things a step farther but I don't know if he's ready to handle the fact that I like him more than a best friend. Please help me!!!!!!!!!!!.

I think you should start off by being more flirtatious right now. Just very subtley. When you hug him, make it last longer, when he looks cute, compliment him, but don't be obviois about it. See how he responds. If it seems like he may like you too, go for it and tell him. If it doesn't, you may just want to keep those feelings to yourself and look elsewhere for a boyfriend. It sucks to do, but it happens sometimes.
