It's damn baffling how those bees can fly around with their fat asses isn't?!!!!

In my experience bees are better stalkers than wasps. But yes, mosquitoes are by far better than both.

I've been stalked by a wasp before. Mostly mosquitoes but a wasp was after me once or twice.

Didn't they also call the female pilots under Second World War "wasps"? As in Women Airforce Service Pilots... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Women_Airforce_Service_Pilots
Since the OP is keen to call this the same as a stalker I suggest she tells us why she believes this means stalker.

Why don't you tell the context in which it was said? That would be more helpful than letting us guess and guess and guess.

Generally these days I believe wasp refers to rich, spoiled, stuck up, etc.

Tisha-1 is probably right but then again, I am assuming he does not know about the White Anglo-Saxon Protestants or he was not thinking about that at the time.
The person in question might have even meant that in a more metaphorical sense, he/she have been trying to compare you to a wasp who stings or is perhaps parasitic in nature. There are a number of meanings, either way, it is meant to be derogatory.
I hope that helps.

my guess is they were perhaps being polite whilst insulting you, generally wasps do not die and tend to sting predators over and over. so perhaps next time if someone says something you dont understand then ask them to explain and if they dont then walk away not worth it. good luck

I understood WASP to mean the same as Tisha, but thought it was more a US term than UK ...

In my day, it meant "White Anglo-Saxon Protestant." This was the group considered to be the ruling elite in the US. It is generally meant as a derogatory term.
You might ask the very powerful question: "What do you mean?" when people ask things you don't understand fully. If they say, "oh, you know!" simply reply, "no, I don't know precisely what you mean. Could you please explain?"
Just keep repeating the question very calmly and generally this will unsettle the person who may have been trying to be insulting.
There may well be other meanings to the word.

Being called waspy means that you have a tiny waist compared to your hips and bust.
