Hi,

I have always had a thing for my sisters best mate since i was 10 and she was 13, she's always been nice to me and well i'm now 19 and she's 22, we lost contact for a few years because my sister and her lost contact. Recently we got in contact again all of us and i've gone up town with my sister, her b.f and her m8, i went out with my sister best m8 and her m8 the other week on my own, we had a good time. She's got a b.f who she loves and he's treats her like shit, she is amazingly beautiful, she looks at me as a little brother of her best m8 still. She also has another lad in her life who is a gd m8 and she likes him. :( I think i'm in love with her.

She has a bf???? You can't possibly want to go out with her until she is single, if ever. Don't be the reason for them two splitting up. If i was you i would go out and get a gf of your own.

Take care

AskEve agony auntYou could always let your sister know that you really like her friend and ask her to put a word in for you, see what she says. Ask her to do it in a way so that she doesn't actually know you fancy her, for example. "What do you think of my brother Steph, do you think he's cute? Would you ever go out with him?" If she asks in this way then she'll be able to tell you if she likes you or not, depending on the answer she gives.

Either that or just continue to be her friend and tell her you're there if she ever needs to talk. A lot of very successful relationships have started in this way. That way you both build up a trust and a bond with one another before deciding to date.
