I have since noticed a small lump (hard) on my vagina lip and i happen to have more discharge than normal. It seems like am wet every time. Could this be an infection that requires me to see a gynaecologist or something? Has anyone of you ladies experienced something like this? The lump was painful on the first day when I touch it but now it is not painful at all. It is just there but i can feel its hardness. I read on some sites it could be due to shaving but i havent shaven in two months. Please help me.

Try not to be scared. It does sound like it might be an ingrown hair and it should be healed in no time. Try not to worry about it, you are doing the right thing by going to the doctor.

We dont use protection because we only have sex with each other since we broke our virginity two years ago and we have never gotten an infection as we were tested first, and we trust each other very much. Hope that does not sound stupid. The discharge is clear white and odourless...although the lump is decreasing in size everyday. I just made an appointment with a doctor although i have never been to a gyno before am pretty scared. Thanx for the help.

It could be that it is an ingrowing hair from shaving. Did you use a condom each time you had sex? If not it could also be a STI. Therefore I think the best thing for you to do is to go to see your doctor to get an answer. At least then it will put your minds at ease.

Hey sweet,
The best and NUMBER ONE thing you have to do is get to a doctor. The internet is full of wanna-be doctors, but we aren't certified and don't know what in fact you're looking at. It could be harmless or it could be something serious. You absolutely need to take yourself to the doctor... time is of the essence, and wasting time being embarrassed or wanting to put money elsewhere could put your health in jeopardy. I've never had something like this, myself.
Make an appointment pronto!!
Good luck!

It was most likely caused by the friction of rough sex, or if you shave or wax you pubic hair, this could be the cause too. I get them occasionally because I shave. :-/
If your discharge is plentiful, but clear and doesn't have a bad odor, then you are probably experiencing a 'side effect' of going through the more fertile time in your menstrual cycle. it is normal.
However, if the discharge is white, and you experience itching it could be a yeast infection. If it smells foul and is greenish, you should see your gyno.
