Over the period of about two months, i can go for weeks with absolutely zero interest in sex, and then one day, become this ravenous sex animal, and not want to leave the bed for hours, if not days, on end. Needless to say my boyfriend enjoys these periods, but they are inevitably and considerably shorter than the weeks where i have no libido. My lack of sex drive puts a strain on our relationship! Is this something i should be worried about ? Has anyone else ever experienced something like this before?

Yes, This is not that uncommon. My wife had a very similar sex drive to you up until 8 months ago. And then wham. She wanted sex every night, two or three times a night. My wife is in her early 40's by the way.
It seems that women fluctuate where they are in the menstrual cycle and what age they are. Just enjoy your brief periods of randiness and be aware that in the future the chances are they are likely to increase. Women hit their sexual peak at the end of the 30's by then your Bf will be having loads of sex. Enjoy.
