I have a crush on my new co-worker, and I think he likes me too, but I'm leaving work for 6 months to go traveling around the world! Should I tell him how I feel?

I have a crush but I don't know what to do! Help!

I really like this guy at work, he only started about 2 months ago but in that short time i've really grown to like him more and more. I haven't fancied someone the way i fancy him for over a year. He's single too, and I think he likes me as some of my other colleagues say that when he speaks to me he seems to 'lighten up'. My dilema is I am leaving work in a couple of weeks to go travelling around the world for 6 months! I really like him, should I tell him that? Do you think its too much to hope that maybe when i come back (if he's still single)we could meet up again???

purrfectionist84 agony auntGive it a shot. You have nothing to lose! If he really likes you, as you suspect, then he'll certainly be up for seeing you again once you come back. You'll only be gone for 6 months. It seems like a long time now, but it'll go faster than you think. Just don't wait until you get back to let him know how you feel. The longer you wait, the greater the chances that he'll meet someone else in the meantime, or that he'll change jobs and you won't see him again.

Best of luck!

Maybe you should ask if he'd like to keep in touch while you travel without coming over as too heavy.

As a chicken way out you could always leave him a note on the last day and tell him you like him and would like to keep in touch and give him a hotmail address that you can access while you're travelling. Then at least if he doesn't mail then you'll have plenty to keep you occupied
