First, porn is a terrible guide. There's precious little that's "normal" depicted in porn.
Even if it were unusual to not like being fingered (and I'm not sure it really is -- my wife doesn't care for it either), what matters is what you like and what feels good for you. Help him to find something that you BOTH enjoy.
