writes:hello, im really confused... i am 17, and i am in love with my best friend who is a girl also...she is so pretty smart and makes me laugh constantly...i get excited when she texts me and i melt when she talks to me...we have kissed on numerous occsasions when we have been drunk...and one time we had sex, it was so passionate and intense....but the reason i am so confused is because she is the one who always kisses me first.but she has a boyfriend...and she was with her boyfriend when we had sex... im not out as bi but im scared of telling my bestfriend cos it might scare her off...i love her so much... please please help....xxxx

 If you don't think youre a lesbian, than youre probably not. From what i have learned in my psychology and communication classes, its common for people to experiment and have mixed feelings about sexuality b/c of hormones. i would consider you heterosexual b/c these acts are isolated and has only ever happened with one girl. i can see how the sex would so passionate and intense because its so different...taboo. but do you think it will feel like that again or the next time?i know that some straight women watch lesbian porn, but wouldn't think of acting on it...you never know what can be a turn on.P.S.and maybe youre not the one confused but your friend since she is initiating these acts and feels most comfortable trying this out with you

reader, anonymous, writes (23 April 2009): Well you might be a lesbian (my point of view) and it is but you most likly arent because you were drunk when you kisses and had sex.In my opinion you should ask her if she is kissing you on purpose and shes hiding it by being drunk.I'm almost entierly sure that she might want you more than you want her.

 At this age a lot of teens experiment, girls more so because to some degree it is more socially acceptable for two cute girls to kiss than two young men. Thanks, "Girls Gone Wild".
Look, your feelings are normal, but unless she has said anything while sober to make you believe she would want to be with you, then I wouldn't risk it.
Does she know you're bi at all? She might also be thinking that both of you are straight so all of the messing around means nothing more than a good time to you both. Perhaps if she knew you were bi, and did have feelings for her, the would check her behavior so as not to hurt you.
If you live in an area and go to school where it will be safe for you to come out as bi, or even gay, then I would do so. You shouldn't have to hide who you are or how you feel.
