YES, you should be worried. You need to go to the doctor or emergency room pronto. You probably need a tetanus shot. Have you ever been immunized against tetanus? If so, probably a booster is all you'll need, but you must get this wound seen to.

Infection is nothing to play around with. Take care of this NOW!!!!

birdynumnums agony auntYou need to go to the Emerg and get this checked out. If you should have any angry, red lines following your veins up towards your torso, it could be blood poisoning, and THAT is REALLY serious. If it IS blood poisoning and your heart gets involved with this infection, it's called Septic Shock and it IS Life Threatening. If you have swelling and feel unwell, You most probably have an infection that needs antibiotics. You certainly need a tetanus shot if you haven't had one in the last ten years. Sorry if this scares you, but None of us are Doctors! Get Going! You REALLY need to see a Doctor!!!

Sweet-thing agony auntYou should probably go see your physician. An x-ray may be required before they can determine that you didn't fracture or crack any of the bones in your leg. Do not delay medical attention. It could get much worse if left untreated. Good luck.

L0V3LiiK3W0AH agony auntWell, I remember my mother fell sometime a few years ago and thought it was nothing and ignored it.

DO NOT DO THAT.

Your leg seems pretty bad by the way your describing it and you should go to a doctor for it just to be safe.

kay ?

I hope I was of some help.

Get yourself to the hospital right away.

Sounds like you have tetanus, and if not treated, you will become very seriously ill.

flower girl agony auntI would go along to your local A&E and get it checked out you may have fractured it or something, they will be able to xray it see if you have done any damage.

Always best to get it checked out.

Take care.xx.

YummyMummy agony auntI would get to your doctor first thing tomorrow morning and get them to check it out.

If you start to feel worse then what you do now I would get down A+E and get it seen to there. It might just be you worrying that is making you feel a little "ill".

Your knee definetly doesn't sound right to me. Have you cleaned it with an antiseptic?
