Recently however, I've come under fire with my civics tutor as I did not inform her about an upcoming service learning event. To make a long story short, she told my teammates to abandon the project and now help me with it when my team and I have already given our word to the beneficiary to help them. All this has transpired because I didn't inform her 3 weeks prior to the service learning, as stipulated by school rules. Sure, it was a mistake on my part and I'm willing to shoulder the blame. What terrifies me is the fact that she told me since I've already planned the event, she wants me to get the administrative procedures done ASAP, but behind my back, she is urging my teammates to abandon the project and pull out at the last minute. If she wasn't happy she could have berated me but I feel that what she's doing is kind of two-faced. While this may seem like a trivial incident, a teacher behaving like that is simply appalling to me. To make matters worse, she is the one writing my resume at the end of the year.I can't help but worry about my testimonial under such a petty teacher.Advice on how to handle this situation would be appreciated. Thanks a lot!

Is there someone you can report her to? Make sure you are very polite and respectful if you take this route.
Also, have you tried formally apologizing to her for your mistake? Maybe if you give her a very "heartfelt" apology, she will feel bad about her immaturity and stop her antics.
I'd try the apology first, then report her if change doesn't happen.
Best of Luck!
