I feel I hug people too much. How can I control this?

Ok this is a really stupid problem but I think it makes people uncomfortable.

I'm a very huggy/cuddly person and I think that it annoys everyone and makes me seem strange. Like I don't go up to random people and hug them; just people I know. I'm not a generally clingy person but this makes me seem it.

How do i control this?
