writes:My gf is still in love with her ex to the point she will cry if he dont pay attention to her in a dream, i can understand why to an extent as he committed suicide about 2-3yrs ago, we have been together almost 10mths and i am being put second best, i do understand what she went through and support her but could do with some advice.

He committed suicide. It's not like he cheated and left her. He just committed suicide. She's probably still very hurt, she's lost and she probably blames herself. She will never get over him, as such, but she will come to terms with it. The problem is that could take twenty years. In a way, you are second best. I think because of the way she is still acting, she hasn't faced it. She needs to face it before she can be a girlfriend to anyone else. For your own happiness and your own sake, it would be better for you to move on.
