She knows me slightly and I can't stop thinking about her even though things probably will never happen between us. Well, the only advice I can give you is that you need to get to know her. Be a friend. Find out what she likes and talk to her. Let it grow slowly and then tell her how you feel. :)

reader, anonymous, writes (9 April 2006): You don't need to ask to be friends with someone. You just are or you aren't. Depending on how sincere you are, also allows you to get closer to the person. If you AND her feels a spark, then maybe things can happen from that. Otherwise, you can't force someone to like you.
I think sincerity is a big thing. How do you become friends with other people, is how you become friends with her. Remember - NO ulterior motives.
