writes:everytime i like a girl, i obsess... big time! i'm 20 years of age + i cant get this 14 year old girl outta my head! it's crazy!! i've never met her + probably never will because we live in different countries but i do know what she looks like. it's an online thing between us. SHE would call me hun sometimes, flirt + stuff. i LOVE this girl. is that wrong? should i tell her? i've been planning on telling her that if i were her age + we went to the same school, i would want to be her boyfriend (because i know she likes me anyway). is that inappropriate? input to be much appreciated. have a good rest of the year.

ok lets put things into perpective...SHE'S 14!!! and you're 20. in other words she is legally a child and you my friend are a fully grown man. I may sound a little harsh and perhaps thats what you need to hear you could be walking a very dangerous path if you're not careful. I remember when i was 14, love and relationships were something i thought i knew all about and in actual fact i knew nothing. sure she may say she likes you, so what??? shes a kid who probably likes loads of other lads her own age as well. I think you'd be better off avoiding her from now on. you admit that you obsess so maybe you should consider talking things through with somebody you trust. focus on building your self esteem so that women of your own age group dont seem so intimidating and maybe then you can form friendships/relationships that are healthy.

 People may get the wrong idea; however, if you two are keeping it strictly away from sexual natures then it's perfectly legal. If you get told that it's wrong then ignore it. When she's twenty and you're twenty-six, it really doesn't seem that bad, does it? Six years age difference is nothing these days. You can tell her that you love her and it would not be wrong at all, as it is only illegal to have sex with a girl underage. I would stay away from topics of sexual nature, as I have said previously, but there is nothing wrong with having feelings for a girl younger than yourself. There is nothing wrong with telling her, so do it! Age is just a number, and you said you do know she likes you. You can't get told you're a paedophile if you only love the girl and would not want a sexual relationship with her (just yet, anyway. Until it's legal). You cannot get put in prison for telling someone you love them. Just be careful what you talk about, and you'll be fine. Not inappropriate at all.
