We've been really good friends for about five years; one day we were hanging out and we were kissing then all of a sudden he's pulling away, saying he can't get into that he has to much respect for me and he's only looking out for me. He also confessed that he talks to many other girls and doesn't want to take advantage of me. I don't know what happened do you think he's just making excuses or did he mean what he said?

Honestly, guys are very simple. If he wanted to be with you, he would. Guys also tend to have a difficult time being straight forward. He probably doesn't know how to tell you that he's no longer interested without hurting you. I would move on, you deserve someone that truly wants to be with you. Good luck.
