writes:I lost my virginity to my boyfriend on December the 30th, I didn't bleed and the pain compared to stubbing a toe. Then on NYE we had sex again, and I didn't bleed. So I assumed I wouldn't bleed at all because this time was quite rough so if I was going to it should have been then. The past Sunday he was poking me and I started bleeding. It's now happened twice where I've bled as he's poking me but not whilst we're having sex. What's going on? It's not as if he's not well equipped and doesn't know what he's doing because he's actually quite experienced and satisfies me immensely.

reader, anonymous, writes (10 January 2010): Sometimes bleeding is a sign of an STI so if you haven't used protection maybe you should pop along to your doctor and have a check over, but the other posts are more than likely to be correct about your hymen being broken by his finger, so don't worry too much. You could always talk to your doctor if it doesn't stop soon.
