I didn't want to tell her and throw it in her face so to speak...

Question - (17 July 2007) 1 Answers - (Newest, 17 July 2007)
A male Canada age 41-50, anonymous writes:

Recently I have started to see my ex girlfriend again. We had talked before on the phone and have asked different questions about what we have been doing. I had told her that I went on a trip to see fire works. She asked who I had went with and I had lied about who I took. I didn't think it was a good idea, because it was another girl and didn't want to throw it in her face. I didn't see the need to talk about who we have been seeing. I think it will just cause some hurt on both sides for no reason. Well, she asked me again and I told her. Now she is mad because I have lied. How can I make it better?

Danielepew agony auntYou can't. It seems she wants you back, and you don't. I think you should be very clear about this.

Or, if you want her back, too, then go for it and don't see other people.

In any case, be very, very clear about what you expect from seeing her again. Don't give her false hope.
