YOU CHEATED AND GOT AWAY WITH IT, SO STOP FEELING GUILTY, OR OTHERWISE LOOK AT THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF HAVING BEEN KICKED OUT OF SCHOOL.
Consider yourself lucky and blessed!!
Most of the knowledge you would have forgotten anyways if you studied...just make time for studying next time!!

What level course was it? And how are the grades issued? The correct thing to do is go to the instructor and confess, and if the instructor is compassionate, he or she will offer you a new exam with an automatic full letter grade deduction, so the highest you can achieve is a "B".But be prepared to lose everything. If the professor is the unforgiving type, you may be suspended, you may receive an automatic failure in that course, or any number of harsh punishments may be meted out.Yet, if you have the moral courage to confess, then you may survive to full adulthood with your integrity and self worth intact. And today isn't the end of the world. If you have worked hard in your other courses, you may be able to re-enroll and start over again, and because you'll have taken your lumps, you'll have earned the respect of those who really matter. Now, the next dilemma is whether or not your confession will take down other students. That's a whole other ball game. I have no advice on that score, however. That's what they call a Catch 22. Damned if you, and damned if you don't.

Hi there,
I don't know how it is in the UK, but I know if you cheat over here in the US there are some schools that will either make you drop the course and some that will go as far as kicking you out altogether. My advice is to learn from this experience and make time to study in the future.
Take care.

nothing, if you dont feel good about it then just learn from this and dont do it again. But believe me if you tell someone and get caught you can get in a lot of trouble, and I mean a lot.

It depends on how and why you cheated really. I know the moral answer is to confess but...you maybe kicked off your course. If you are cheating, it maybe a signal that you are doing the wrong course if this is your stress management mechanism but it could be a one-off incident too. It is up to you to decide really but you should also realise cheating is common at University level (I used to be a lecturer and I have seen the worst of it). Only you can decide what to do next but if it is a one-off incident then feel bad about it but remember those feelings of guilt next time you are tempted!

Go to the instructor(s) and confess. You may get a break or you may not but you'll feel a heck of a lot better about yourself.
