writes:I find it strange that my six months gf tells me she feels uncomfortable holding hands with me in public( I mean places like in a park or even on the street when we are walking)although she has no problem doing the same (holding hands indoors).At first we did not meet often and that's why I had not noticed this. Nowadays we get a chance to meet often and I cannot understand why she feels uncomfortable holding hands with me in public and yet she claims that she is in love with me. Please guys I would like your opinions and views if you have ever encountered such a girl/lady.Ladies/girls tell me whether this is normal (feeling uncomfortable holding hands with your bf in public.) As your love for each other grows there is no doubt that she can change that. Love changes a person and when its true love you wanna show the world, so i have no doubt that she will want to hold your hand in the future. When your in love you feel like you can do anything.

I feel the same.yeah very annoyed I never thought holding hands could ever be such a big deal too.I asked her if she has ever had a bad experience and she said no.I don't know what is this feeling or what she is afraid of.

 My boyfriend is exactly the same!! We've been dating for almost two years and he just says he hates public displays of affection. I feel so annoyed, I can imagine people are telling you 'she's not ready' or what not, but I feel like it just doesn't make sense. I feel like he's embarassed to be seen with me. I can't believe that holding hands is such a big deal.
As for is she lying to you ? I know my boyfriend loves me very much despite his hate for holding hands, so I can believe that she loves you.
Maybe just ask her if she had a bad experience with someone else that made her uncomfortable.

You need to calm down. I had a girl who didnt want to hold hands in public because she was afraid that someone was gonna see her with a dude holding hands and tell her dad and she didnt wanna get in trouble. Just ask your girl why? And respect it. Dont think about it too much. And her not wanting to hold hands does not mean she dosent love.
