I know I eat far too much junk food like chocolate and crisps but I can't seem to stop. I just seem to eat even if I know I'm not hungry. I know I don't have an eating disorder or anything like that but I have a big lack of willpower. I also only do sport that is required at my school, I never do any extra. sometimes I even fake notes off swimming especially, just because i don't want to do it. Does anyone have any advice on how to control these random and annoying cravings? thanks Reply to this Question Share |

I am sure you know there are all sorts of health benefits to weight control, but I suppose this knowledge all fades away when you are about to munch on that burger. I am not the most sports mad person in the world so I am not going to recommend jogs around the park at 6am. I think you can keep reasonably fit just by walking daily and being active. There is nothing wrong with chocolate and junk food in moderation, but when it becomes an excess then it can signal an emotional component to eating. You say you don't have an eating disorder and that maybe true. However, you may eat when you are stressed or bored and at these times you need to develop alternative distraction techniques. Try not to worry about your eating at the moment as your body is still developing and your shape may change naturally in a few years. However, since you recognise you have a problem with your appetite then you should enlist the help of your mother or father to curb food available to you at home. I am not suggesting starving yourself, but walk to school instead of the bus and reserve junk food to the weekend.

Working out is key to having a good size and eating what u want. U said u flake on swimming cause u just don't wanna do it..that's being lazy and if u keep that up u will gain a lot of weight. If u can go to swiming and try and eat an apple or orange 2 times out the day when u want candy or chips it will be a start to be a little bit more active. Remember we are all different sizes and a size 1 2 3 4 are not for everybody curves are good but healthy is best. So try to be active and eat maybe 1 candy instead of 3. But starving is not the issue. Goodluck
