I can't go to the doctor as I am an American with no health insurance, so I just wanted to know if this is normal for when you stop birth control and when I can expect it to stop.

These are harmless and it went away by itself (look up on line). You should see a doctor if you can, but could also consider giving yourself a few days to see if it settles. If it is smelly, painful, very heavy or you have a temperature see a doc straight away. Or you could go back on the pill for a couple of months and see if it stops - then you will know it is the pill. All of this is guessing and you should be able to see a doctor, it is not fair that you are troubled like this. God Bless the NHS.

I don't think this is normal. I've been on and stopped taking the pill as well. The most I've had is just some spotting but it was never full on bleeding for more than a week. I really think you should go to a health clinic and ask a professional what this could be. If not, maybe you should go to the hospital.
If you don't want to do either of these, at least type your problem in Google or some search engine and check out your issue on medical site.
