We know that he is fertile because he got a previous girlfriend pregnant when he was 16 but they aborted it. So im worried about myself, now hes the only guy I've gone unprotected with, my only other 2 sex partners I was on birthcontrol and used condoms. Im afraid to ask a doctor..so any ideas?

dirtball agony auntYeah, if you've been off of birth control for over a year, then you definitely need to see a doctor. I bet it is actually something that is common for them. There are fertility specialists in most hospitals. I wouldn't worry.

Thanks so much for your help!

Im guessing i will have to see a doctor...

but that has to be an akward conversation to start, especially because people have been starting families later on in life and we are still young.

dirtball agony auntJust because he was fertile back then doesn't mean he couldn't have damaged "the boys." I think you should both go to see a doctor.

Also, check out things about ovulation cycles. Focus your sex around the times when you are most fertile. He should probably go a day or two in between as well to make sure his semen is fully potent.

How long have you been trying to get pregnant? How long since you stopped taking your birth control?

Asked Angel agony auntHi, i am where you are now been trying for 3 yrs with no luck. You have to go doctors to find out if there's anything wrong. I have been checked over and so far there is no need for tablets and fertility treatment yet. I'm 26 which is quite young. It may happen for you without the doctors help but it's better to be checked. I know how hard this is but please try not to be stressed that is the most common reason women don't get pregant. They stop worrying and then it happens.

Hope i have helped and good luck :)

Do you drink caffiene?

Do you drink alcohol?

Do you get enough exercise?

Do you have a healthy and nutritious diet?
