When you put the tampon in, are you actually trying to put it in the right place or at the right angle? Because I had that problem when I first started my periods. Use mini tampons with a plastic applicator as this will also help it go in, and make sure you push it all the way in because if its not in properly that can hurt too. The more you wear them, the more you'll stretch and the less it will hurt. Try using your fingers in the bath as well. Don't panic and tense up because that will make you even tighter. If you're still having problems then go to the nurse =]

Speak to a trusted parent or guardian. an older sister, mother, auntie - older friend. Someone who can make you feel better.
It hurt when you were fingered because you're so young and your body isn't ready (i'm NOT judging, i'm just saying how it is) and you should always take things slowly and if things hurt too much, you should ease into them and if they still really really hurt, wait until your body is a bit more grown up and ready.
It's the same with tampons. And tampons aren't exactly good for your anyway and towels are less invasive and a safe alternative that you should use instead of forcing yourself to use tampons.
To settle your mind talk to someone, bt i'd say there's nothing wrong with you. Just leave tampons alone.

Not everyone gets on with tampons. They are often not suitable to very heavy periods due to leakage etc. I would stick to sanitary towels for now which can be quite discrete these days and less prone to leakage. However, since you are experiencing pain and heavy bleeding then you do need to see a doctor. There maybe some medical explanation for your pain - I had terrible pains at your age but it wasn't until I was 30 that the cause was identified (polycystic ovaries, uterine abnormality, underactive thyroid). Lots of girls see doctors for period pains so don't be shy - it affects your quality of life and you have a right to an explanation and some treatment. However, try not to worry as it is probably something that will improve with age.
