I came off my period last wednesday, had sex without a condom with my boyfriend on Friday twice during the evening. He didn't come in me, he pulled out but he does have a bit of clear what I call pre-cum. Could I be pregnant?

A female reader, penta United States +, writes (19 July 2007):

penta agony auntcount the FIRST day of your period as the first day in your cycle. The AVERAGE woman ovulates on day 14, but it could come sooner or later. The egg lives +/- 24 hours in your body, and sperm lives +/- 72 hours in your body. So that's 4-5 days of danger. Depending on WHEN you ovulated (could be earlier than day 14 -- depends on your cycle) will say what your chance is.

In the future use a condom every time. They frequently call the people who use the Rhythm Method PARENTS.

deejuliet agony auntChances are very small that this encounter would impregnate you, but do be more careful in the future. Use a condom EVERY time!

Sperm can last up to 5 days waiting for an egg to appear. I read this in an article about pregnancy tests on Wikipaedia. You shouldn’t be pregnant, but there is no guarantee as your cycle can vary even if you are normally regular. Pull-out is never safe, because small amounts of sperm are released throughout. On balance you probably aren’t pregnant, but probably isn’t good enough is it? Too scary. You need to use a condom at all times if you aren’t on the pill.

Yes. you should really have an ovulation calender missy, they are very helpfull. you know when you ovulate you are most fertile, sperm can stay in you for up to two days, and there is sperm in precum if he came earlier that day and did not urinate.

hopefully the outcome is best for you.

i doubt you are pregnant if he didnt come in you though. just wait and please try not to make this mistake again.

I had my daughter as a result of the "pull out" method.
