I really want to take it to the next level but don't want to scare him away.

Question - (18 July 2007) 1 Answers - (Newest, 19 July 2007)
A female age 41-50, anonymous writes:

Hi there, me and my boyfriend have been together for about 7 months now. We've known each other for about 5 years. We are excellent friends and always have a laugh when we are together. The problem is I feel he just wants to be friends and nothing more. We are both in our 20's and live at home with our families and we have never stayed over together at each others house.

I really want to take it to the next level but don't want to scare him away. How can I bring this up as we don't often speak to each other about this as we are both very shy when it comes to talking about our feeling.

Any help would be great

Frank B Kermit agony auntIf neither of you are mature enough to even talk about it, chances are neither of you are mature enough to handle it should it happen. Maybe you should continue to wait? If not, have an adult conversation about sex...a couple in their 20s should be able to handle that, otherwise, any relationship either one of you gets into will be doomed.
