I know I have it because I had been diagnosed before and because I have studied psychology enough to know. I'm trying to stay positive as I'm a Christian. I basically don't have real friends and can't enjoy the support and stability of a best friend or a boyfriend and my family has their own issues and don't listen to me. So basically I've been alone with nothing to do.That's why I started to study at college again in January. Now at least I have things to do and can socialize a little here and there. My problem is I'm taking this philosophy class and I've noticed younger students can understand it quicker and better than me and I'm frustrated. Sometimes we have to form groups to summarize a specific reading and I'm always the one who needs more time to finish it and to understand it. We are all studying to get our PhD's I have a master's degree and most of them have only a bachelor's but they have been studying without interruptions. Is that it? It's been three years since the last time I studied at college. What do you think? Will I ever catch up with them? Is there a way to sharpen my mind?

I think it's because you're not used to studying again. Just be patient and slowly you will find yourself being the student that you were before. It's just a matter of getting used to it.
I, too am planning to take post graduate courses this year so I know I will have that problem at the start. But I have been in and out of school during college before so i know how it feels and I know how to get over it.
