If she doesnt phone by the time the holidays are over then ask her out. This situation is unsustainable and constantly waiting is a situation to be in.

 You can call, it's alright, I have guy friends that call me, and if you wanna take her out maybe go see a cool movie with her and a friend or two, then try to sit beside her and just be very friendly. Watch how she reacts and if she seems okay with or pushes it, you may be good to go. But if she just wants to be friend and kinda looks at you oddly, just but off as just teasing. Hope I helped.
