I dont eat meat anymore period for good and understandable reasons.I still eat cheese and drink milk but im about to cut down on

Cheese and start drinking almond milk.I want to start eating more vegetables and fruits and more water and i want to workout more. Today, i did the 9:00 and 11:00 thing and i think maybe after twelve i had a garden pizza(four slices) with some water.(ive been drinking ALOT of water lately and no soda or juice.some powerade once but thats it. Any opinions or suggestions? I would appreciate it. Oh and im thinkin about going vegan.

dmartin89 agony auntThis is the diet you are on to lose wieght? Are you KIDDING ME?!

All I can say is bland blan bland bland bland..

I'm with Weight Watchers (not "dieting") and I'm losing about half a pound every day from eating this.

This is what your diet should look like...

Breakfast = Two slices wholemeal toast with 2 scrambelled eggs. 1 Yakult (good bacteria yogurt drink), hanful of fresh spinach, 5 almonds, apple. 1 litre of water.

Lunch = Wholemeal pitta bread with 50g wafer thin chicken and extra light mayo and dijon mustard. Side salad of lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, red grapes, toasted pine nuts and a tablestoon of extra virgin olive oil. Large Banana, 1 litre of water

Dinner = 150g Pork/Lamb/Beef steak with 50g new potatoes, handfull of broccoli, carrots and leeks. Low salt gravy.

I also exercise 1 hour a day in the gym which burns approx 600kcals.

What you're eaing is just not varied enough. You say you "want" to eat more veg etc, then just do it!! If you're not eating enough vitmins your body will think it doesnt have any access to nutients so will keep all the energy you give it.

Dont go vegan, get your parents to buy organic free range meat.

However If you are serious about going vegan, you need to start inroducing beans, lentils and legumes into your diet so you get anough protein.

Upping protien to tone and burn fat is important, it also keeps you fuller for longer.

Please please ditch the penut butter sandwich..there is no excuse for that!

Good luck!

There doesnt seem to be much variety in your plan. The best diets are the most simple. Try sticking to lots of vegies, fruits, nuts, salads good meats such as fish, chicken etc. Try and mix it up and drink lots of water. If possible cut out bread. And first thing in the morning squeeze some lemon juice into some water n down that fifteen minutes before breakfast. Excellent for the digestive system and losing weight. Interval running etc is best for losing weight.

This is the vegetarian poster from earlier. Read what I wrote again. You have to eat MORE. What you're doing right now is starving yourself and you will end up putting on weight if you keep it up due to your body's metabolism trying to defend itself. Look up vegetarian recipes online and be healthy. If you do that the right way and work out regularly, you can tone up and lose some weight.

DanceInTheDark agony auntA peanut butter sandwich for breakfast is not exactly the best idea.

I'd try something like fruits, a healthy cereal, ect.

I'm going to suggest you have a cheat day, a day where you can have a little something that's not exactly healthy for you. This is really important, because if you deprive yourself of such things, then you'll binge and ruin your diet. A chocolate bar every week is better than a whole chocolate cake, candy chips, soda in a day after months of a strict diet.

Also ONLY stick to a diet that you can commit to for the long run, not something you plan to give up after you lost the weight, you'll gain it right back.

A female reader, anonymous, writes (14 April 2011):

First of all, this diet is a bad idea. What you've written down essentially says you're doing to eat one small meal in the morning and then survive on liquids. Please pay attention and listen to me, because I am vegetarian.

Being vegetarian or vegan does not mean eating less. In fact, you have to eat MORE because you have suddenly lost a lot of the good fats that you usually get in your diet that are found in meat, cheese, and other dairy products.

Each meal you eat each day should be divided three ways: 1/3 of protein (so, if you're vegetarian, this means tofu, seitan, or tempeh, or grains such as quinoa); 1/3 of vegetables (this means any veggies BUT potatoes); and 1/3 starchy carbs (so, potatoes would work here, beans, breads, cereals, etc.)

Also please remember that you're working out, so you are going to need good fats in your diet. This would include oils. So, maybe include a small salad with your lunch that is drizzled with salad dressing and maybe topped off with some feta cheese.

Almond milk is great, but remember that being vegan means you have no natural source of vitamin B12, which is found in dairy and meat products. Make sure to take a daily multivitamin which includes iron (another vitamin you're going to need if you're not eating meat.)

I have been vegetarian for MANY years, and I have to eat at least 5 meals a day because I get hungry more! You are eating healthier by being vegetarian, but it is by no means a convenient way of "starving" yourself, which is what your diet suggests.

If you go along with your diet you've listed here, which is starvation, your metabolism will slow down and you will end up PUTTING ON weight instead of losing it.

Being vegetarian or vegan is a great and responsible choice, but what you're doing is not only stupid, it's unhealthy. Being vegetarian is about being conscious about what you eat, which is not what you're doing.

Why don't you look up some vegetarian recipes online? There are plenty of resources. You can be vegetarian, but the diet schedule you've listed here is terrible and unhealthy.

4 slices of pizza is too much.
