Well you've got enough information to narrow it down a lot. Just keep searching, do what you see people in television series and movies do. Definitly hit the road a lot. Be smart and check all the info you get. With a little luck and good investigating, you'll find him.

Well how did you find your mom? You could go about it that same way. And do you simply want to find him on your own? In that case I suppose you can do a google search or a public records search. Does he live in the same country or do you have any idea where he might live or is from? If you know he is from the same country as you then you would simply put in his name and date of birth in the public records search and hopefully something will show up.
Also, alot of people have facebook and other networking sites, so you could look him up on one of these, and since you know his date of birth you know how old he should be aproximately.
Ask alot of questions to people who may have known something about him. For instance, your legal guardians may have some information about him. Even if nothing too legit but maybe they knew that he was a mechanic from little rock arkansas...see what I mean? So then you know what town he is from and it can help you narrow your search.
And if you want to seek professional assistance, I guess you could hire an investigator but I don't know how costly that would be and it is certainly something that is worth trying on your own first.
