He just randomly nudges you or has cute little pets names for you-probably. It depends on how you know him. If you fall for a stranger that you just met for ten minutes and he nudges you...back away-slowly.

 There are many ways in which a guy can show you he likes you and you will not even pick up the hint.
Ok a longing look in his eyes when he looks at you and also the glances that they can give but quickly turn away when they notice that you have noticed them looking at you.
Stray little touched when talking to you.
Been maybe a little off when you are with friends either his or yours.
Silly little comments that really have no meaning.
Your best bet really ask him straight out.
