writes: So i've been dealing with anxiety for a while now. It's only a sometimes occurence though but when I have an anxiety attack it just takes over me and I can't do anything about it. IDK what to do it only happens sometimes but now Im always scared that Im gonna have another one. My parents believe I can control it but I don't know how when it happenes it just happens. Hi, panic attacks are quite normal for a lot of people, so you aren't alone in this, please don't feel like you're "one of a kind"! I used to have panic attacks (after a car accident) and feared that I would have one again, which made me all the more nervous and tense whilst driving.
You don't mention what sort of situation you had a panic attack from, but what helped me was figuring out WHY I was so afraid, and I started doing meditation at home (just deep breathing exercises) and this really helped me. I agree with seeing a medical practioner in regards to this problem and talking to your parents who just need to understand why you feel afraid in a particular situation. Good luck!
