How to approach my teacher once I graduate!

A female Australia age 30-35, anonymous writes:

okay, so here's the deal. i'm an 18 year old student and my teacher is new to the school this year, he's 25 and i think he's amazing! students can't add teachers on online networks so i only have access to info on him from 2-3 years ago on his public myspace. i don't know if he's single because he likes to keep his private life private, he doesn't tell anyone anything even if they ask him, though he doesn't have a ring on his finger so that's hopeful. he was really introverted at the start of the year, he didn't smile or anything, but he has become much more relaxed in our class, even though the year 11s say he has no personality in theirs.

after i graduate i plan to add him on facebook and find out if he's single and what he's like outside his work space.

so my question is, after i graduate and if he's single, how do i go about approaching him, even if it's only to be friends at first? it would have to be online as the only other way i can talk to him is at school and that's not gonna happen.

Well, I'm certainly glad you've had the good sense to know that you and he can't do anything until you've graduated. That's a good, mature decision.

All you can do is send a friend request online and see what happens, I guess. I can't really think of any other way. He'll either accept it or he won't.
