Wow - that happened over 37 years ago! It was about a month to 6 weeks after I met my wife that I told her I loved her. I thought about it for a while before I actually said it. I don't recall when she reciprocated, but it wasn't too long after that. (I should mention that we had written to each other, progressively more serious letters, for about 3 months before we actually met. I don't know how you account for that time if you're trying to compute some kind of "average time" before saying it.)
