A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Just wondering...how long (on average) does it take for the honeymoon phase of a relationship to be over (or) start to wear off?

Im not looking for people who say they've had the honeymoon stage for 2 years or that it all depends on the person, im looking for actual statistics and/or physchology behind the honeymoon phase and when on average does it end for most relationships.

And how can i tell when my ex is out of it with his new relationship? Some signs or anything?

Thanks a lot for the helpp!!

If you're thinking that when it cools off you can move on him and he'll come back, then you're going to get hurt. The honeymoon stage lasts as long as it lasts. For some it's a few months, for some it's a few years. Don't bet that it will end either.

5.56 months on average, with a deviation of 0.9- signs are that he starts hanging out with his freinds, drinking more and comparing his GF to his ex-GF.
